There has been a change in the Volunteer Policy within Union County Public Schools. We are grateful for all the volunteers that we have. Please continue to apply and participate.

The parent and community volunteers who are willing and able to assist in a school do make a very significant contribution! Union County Public School Board of Education policies govern the work of volunteers in the schools and the screening process to be utilized. These policies are UCPS BOE Policy 3-29 Screening of School Volunteers and UCPS Volunteer Program Administrative Guidelines.

Volunteer Coordination

In order to become a volunteer with UCPS certain procedures must be followed:

• Beginning Tuesday, September 7, 2010, Union County Public School System will begin using the Volunteer Management System (VMS) to complete an application for Volunteer Services.
• For any new applicants to the UCPS Volunteer Program, please follow these procedures.
• If you are an already approved volunteer, you must still register and update your profile online. This is a requirement to stay in our database. Please follow these procedures.
